Flora's Curse

Prompt
Multi-layered instruments, dramatic song, ethereal, ups and downs, nuance, bittersweet, no electronic. About: Chloe, a poor girlish boy (long blond hair, blue stare, pale, slender) wanted to be a real man. one day he walked in garden, saw his delicate girlish form from the pond with the flowers, he became freaky, eat flowers one by one (list some of flowers). Suddenly he found he poisoned, in fact he was cursed by Flora to be eternally young like a teenage girl. Though beauty forever, frail is also forever, he could not leave anything, anywhere mild and 'girlish'. Mention the name 'Chloe' and the Word 'boy' in latter part of lyrics
Sound
Chamber folk, orchestral swells, ethereal vocals, acoustic intimacy, dramatic dynamics
Lyrics
Intro
La-la, oh... (gentle harmonies floating)
The garden knows what I can't accept
Verse 1
Morning light catches on the water's face
Something delicate that I can't erase
My reflection speaks in flowers and lace
While I turn away in shame
Pre-chorus
Can you tell me why I feel so wrong?
Like a winter bird that's lost its song
Chorus
The garden knows what I can't accept
Nature's mirror shows what I reject
Oh, the garden knows, the garden knows
(The truth beneath the rose)
Verse 2
Lilies white as my trembling hands
Violets blue as my tearful stance
Daisies pure as my childhood plans
One by one they disappear
Down my throat like bitter wine
Each petal marks the passing time
Chorus
The garden knows what I can't accept
Nature's mirror shows what I reject
Oh, the garden knows, the garden knows
(The truth beneath the rose)
Bridge
Foxglove, hemlock, sweet belladonna
Iris, poppy, wild Madonna
(La-la-la, what have I done?)
Chrysanthemum and oleander
Till my vision starts to wander
(Oh-oh-oh, what have I become?)
Verse 3
They call me Chloe now, eternally
This boy who wished too desperately
To shed this grace that clings to me
Like morning dew on petals fresh
Flora's curse runs through my flesh
Forever young, forever blessed
Forever trapped in gentleness
Outro
The garden knew what I couldn't see
The price of beauty... is to never be free
(La-la-la... forever be...)
