 feature lets you take existing audio in a new direction by generating more from a certain timestamp or once the song ends. 

There are three types of audio files you can use:

A song directly from your Riffusion Library

A published song in another artist’s Library

If you extend a song created by yourself or another artist on Riffusion, the original song will be citied directly above the title once it generates in your Library.

. The audio file will populate for you to reference as you go through the process. 

Use the purple slider to indicate at which point in the song you want the audio to extend from. For example, if you upload a 1 minute audio but want to extend the song from the 50 second mark, move the slider to start at 0:50. You can confirm where the song will extend from in the purple text that says “Extend after [time stamp].”

, or leave the section blank to get an instrumental. For 

, you can describe the new sound you want the extended section to have.  

Next to the audio file will be three horizontal lines which allow you to adjust 

. This indicates how different the overall vibe of the cover is from the original. Moving the slider to the right means there’s greater variation and moving the slider to the left means there’s less variation. 

Edit the lyrics, sound, and adjust the settings. The prompts will only be applied to the portion of the song that you extend from. If we stick with the example above, the prompts you enter will go into effect starting at 0:50. The rest of your song will remain unchanged and true to the original. 

The process to extending a song is similar to making a cover with a song on Riffusion. 

Click on the song title and you’ll be directed to the song page. 

 tab, then the lyrics, sounds, and settings used for the original song will populate the prompt box. 

Add in the lyrics you want to have for the extended portion of the song where it says “Add lyrics…” in the prompt box.

Follow the steps in the above section to edit the sound and adjust the settings.

At this time, you cannot extend a song past 4 minutes.
