Prompts are at the heart of how you interact with Riffusion because they tell the model what you want to hear, helping you generate unique, high-quality music. 

This guide will give you some tips on how to craft clear and creative prompts for the best results.

A prompt is your way of communicating with the model. Think of it as giving instructions to a composer or DJ. The more specific and descriptive you are, the better the model can interpret your vision.

 "Uplifting orchestral music with a strong violin lead and light percussion, suitable for a wedding."

Adding specific elements to your prompt gives the model clear direction. Consider including:

 "A calm, ambient soundscape with soft piano chords, light synth pads, and ocean waves in the background."

,  the order in which you list each genre or sound determines how much it influences the song generation. Listing a sound first will make it the most prominent, so experiment with order to create new sounds. 

Prompt 1: “K-pop, R&B, country twang” will skew more heavily K-pop than R&B and country

Prompt 2: “R&B, country twang, K-pop” will sound more like an R&B track with country and K-pop influences

Use evocative and imaginative descriptions to inspire the model. Think beyond just technical terms to help convey a feeling or story.

 "A mystical, otherworldly tune with shimmering harp melodies and a dreamy, echoing atmosphere."

The first prompt might not always yield the exact sound you want. Don’t hesitate to refine and try a few times to land on something you’re proud of. Experimenting with phrasing or adding details can lead to some really cool outputs.

Refined: "A lively jazz piece featuring upbeat saxophone riffs, walking basslines, and syncopated drum patterns."

In the Lyrics section of the Compose tab, you can create structure within your song by using tags such as
